My name is Alassandra and I am a Certified Massage Therapist and a Certified Survivor Advocate. My work as an advocate drives my passion to empower individuals in their lifelong healing journey, which lead me to studying the physiological impacts of trauma and the mind-body connection. As a person with a mixed cultural background, I have always felt the need to integrate a mix of approaches to address health and well-being holistically. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education from UC Santa Barbara and my background is working with individuals who have experienced intimate partner violence, sexual violence, and stalking. In 2020, I obtained my 70 hour certification as a domestic violence and sexual assault advocate, with additional training in advocacy for survivors of human trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. In the past five years, I have provided support to hundreds of survivors of all ages and backgrounds in various community settings and higher education systems. I have been lucky to work with a wide spectrum of people, including specialty populations such as veterans, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, former foster youth, cancer survivors, elderly, and people with disabilities. I have completed over 700 hours of massage therapy training at the Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego through the framework of Asian bodywork and Traditional Chinese Medicine. My training includes Swedish or circulatory massage, deep tissue, Thai massage, acupressure, Tui Na, Lomi Lomi, craniosacral therapy, sports massage, lymphatic brushing, and aromatherapy. Among these modalities, I also practice qigong, breathwork, meditation, and sound healing. Please feel free me a call or send me an email if you have any questions.
